Nigerian superstar, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy will make history come July when he becomes the first Nigerian artist to headline a U.S. stadium, Billboard exclusively announce Monday (April 3).

His recent album; Love, Damini world tour of the Afro-fusion superstar and features a series of significant stadium concerts, including a show at NYC’s Citi Field on July 8.

Additionally, the tour will make stops at Paris La Defense, London Stadium, and Gelre Dome in Amsterdam.

April last year the singer became the first Nigerian act to headline Madison Square Garden for his concert that was billed as “Burna Boy Presents One Night in Space.”

Burma Boy seems to be busy at the moment as his schedule seems to pile up.

Over the weekend, he performed at Dreamville Music Festival in Raleigh, N.C. He’ll also return to Indio Valley, Calif., for Coachella in April, then headline Afro Nation Miami in May.

Recall that he’s also slated to co-headline the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show by Pepsi in June at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium.

According to him, “It has always been my vision to build a bridge between all Black people in all parts of the world through music and performance,” he told Billboard in his previous cover story. while also stating that “Music is the No. 1 messenger.”
