The All Progressives Congress (APC) cleared all four House of Assembly seats in supplementary elections conducted in Niger State over the weekend.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) cleared all four House of Assembly seats in supplementary elections conducted in Niger State over the weekend.
The re-run ballot was across 11 registration areas and 15 Polling Units (PUs).
At Agaie Local Council, the APC candidate, Muhammad Etsu-Agaie, was declared winner of the rerun polls. Mohammed Garba won at Agwara Local Council; Bako Alhaji won at Rijau; and Zubairu Ismaila at Rafi.
The applauded the people of Niger, especially the electorate in Agaie, Agwara, Rafi and Rijau local councils for the confidence they have in the party.
Publicity Secretary of Niger APC, Musa Sarkinkaji, stated that the party equally appreciated the immeasurable support of the affected local councils’ stakeholders, the State Executive Committee (SEC), zonal, local council and ward excos that ensured the victory of the party.
With the outcome of supplementary elections, APC has 20 out of 27 members in the House of Assembly.
