Samuel Ortom, Benue State Governor, has tagged the administration of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), as the worst in the history of Nigeria.
He said Buhari must be told that he was a failure and Nigerians are feeling the impact.
Ortom added that Buhari carried the country into serious poverty and insecurity, unlike what used to flourish under his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan.
He claimed he served under the then President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration and they all saw how Nigeria flourished under that administration.
Also he said people were aware of what the prices of goods and services were at the time, plus what exchange rate was at the time and what it is today.
He urged Nigerians to do a simple comparison to realize how bad it has been under this government and how Nigeria has been taken several years backwards by the Buhari government.
However, Ortom stated that corruption was so endemic in this government, yet people who stole chicken were thrown into prison, but people in government were busy stealing the wealth of the people and walking free.
Furthermore, he said the President recently apologized to Nigerians and they accepted the apology but he must be told that he failed woefully.
Ortom also emphasized on how Buhari refused to curb the excesses of the armed Fulani herdsmen, instead, he tagged them as a terrorist organization being responsible for the killings in the country.
In addition, Ortom assured that he would continue to speak out against injustice in the country.
