The Portuguese icon will no doubt be devastated after his side could only draw 1-1 on Saturday while Al-Ittihad secured the crown with a game to spare thanks to a 3-0 win.

Heading into their match away at Ettifaq, CR7’s side were already three points behind their rivals with just two games to go.

Al-Ittihad travelled to Al Feiha knowing a victory would put them on the verge of glory, regardless of Al-Nassr’s result.

However, Al-Nassr went 1-0 down just before half-time.

They equalised in the second half as Ronaldo was seen directing his teammates in the build-up, literally telling them when to pass and where to run.

This resulted in Luis Gustavo making it 1-1 on 56 minutes, but Al-Nassr were unable to find a winner.

Over at Al Feiha’s Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium, Al-Ittihad ran out comfortable 3-0 victors and so extended their lead to five points.

With just one game to go, this was enough to see them crowned champions.

It is Al-Ittihad’s ninth Saudi Pro League crown, equalling Al-Nassr who have also won nine.
