Dr. Ambassador Funke Kehinde sells Houses. She sells land as well. She is a big real estate marketer. Anything real estate excites her. She is a born marketer. She is blessed with good marketing skills. She has a warm personality.If you meet her for the very first time you will like her infectious personality.
She is a multiple award Realtor and the CEO of Brilliant Concepts Realtors.
She is also the President of REMS, a large real estate marketing group in Lagos.
She has over 17 years experience in real estate marketing, through which she has mentored and empowered over 7,000 entrepreneurs in real estate marketing.
She holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, a second degree in Entrepreneurship Management from the LAGOS BUSINESS SCHOOL and ENTREPRISE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
After working in different real estate companies for over 10 Years and gathering adequate work experience, she started BRILLIANT CONCEPTS REALTORS in 2015 and she has been making new and happy land owners and home owners till date.
This has earned her several awards and recognition within the real estate industry and beyond, among many others.
Recently, City People got her to tell us how she started her company, Brilliant Concept Realtors.
“The company started in February 2014, that is actually the registration date. It was born out of the need to bridge the housing gap in Nigeria.”
“We have come to realise that, a lot of people actually want to buy houses, and want a roof over their heads. But the only problem they have is the right source. They do not know who to contact and they do not know where they can get that. With the state of the economy of the country, it is very hard to drop or pay the full money at once. They are looking for an avenue where they can get the house of their choice and pay in installments. This is where Brilliant Concepts Realtors comes into the picture. That is the reason Brilliant Concepts Realtors was birthed in February 2014 to bridge this gap. And to the glory of God we have made over 3000 happy home and landowners. We give God the glory.”
How did she get into that line of business?
“I am someone who always loves buying and selling. Anything that involves buying and selling you will find me there. When the need to get a house for my family came up, I started making enquiries. I spoke with agents, realtors and lots more, and I found out that some are not doing it professionally. And some did not have access to varieties of property. That woke up that spirit in me, and i decided that I can do this too, I can do it more professionally. That is how the idea came and I moved into it. Here we are today.”
She is an award winning Realtor. But when you talk about realtors, many people are not too familiar with that area of real estate.What does it mean, we asked her?
“Yes,I hear people say that all the time. But before we discuss who a Realtor is, we have to discuss what real estate is. Because without real estate there is no Realtor. Real estate, is simply defined as a land or any improvement on it, either man made, or, natural, or artificial. Now, a Realtor is someone who sells land and houses. We can say a Realtor is a middle person between those who want to sell a house or land and someone who is ready and has the money to purchase it.”
“I have noticed that a lot of people often confuse a Realtor with an Agent.They are similar,but they are different. While an Agent is someone who sees a land that wants to be sold, then they get a buyer and close the deal. But a Realtor is a refined, professional person who has undergone series of trainings and knows how to sell real estate professionally.”
“So,YOU CAN SAY ALL REALTORS ARE AGENTS BUT NOT ALL AGENTS ARE REALTORS.The professionalism is the difference.”
