Former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, thrilled party faithfuls who had gathered to witness his acceptance speech with a spectacular dance move.
It was on Monday afternoon, May 15, 2024, during the when the former President was seated joining the already seated gathering at the hall where the event was taking place.

He was being ushered into the hall by a member of a traditional dance group (a female) who was adorned in a traditional outfit and had set the pace with striking traditional dance moves. Clad in a smock, and holding a horse tail in his hand Mr Mahama couldn’t help but also display his dancing skills; swaying the whisk rhythmically to the tune.
His wife, Lordina Mahama, who was in the gathering, obviously proud of her husband’s performance on the dance floor, cheered him on with a proud smile.
Shortly after the display by Mr Mahama, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, also entered and displayed her dance moves to the melodious traditional music.
