I got Guinness declaration two months after breaking cooking record

Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, and the current official holder of the Guinness World Record for longest cooking time by an individual, has encouraged Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, simply called Hilda Baci, as she awaits verification after completing her own 100-hour cooking marathon.

In a recent Instagram live session, Lata Tondom praised Hilda’s outstanding effort to break her record with a staggering 100 hours of cooking time, noting that the Guinness World Record would eventually recognize the feat.

Lata set the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours by an individual in September 2019 after completing her cooking marathon of 87 hours, 45 minutes.

Nigerian Hilda Baci broke the record on May 15, 2023, after achieving a 100-hour record time. However, she is still awaiting Guinness’ declaration.

Lata encouraged Hilda Baci and disclosed that it took Guinness two months to verify her videos and award her effort.
