KENYA: Fury as Juja Motorist “Robs” Attendant KSh 1500

Police officers in Juja are tracing a motorist suspected to have sped off after refilling water at Juja Toll valued at KSh 1500.

Source: FacebookAccording to a plaint aired by Sikika Road Safety, the vehicle with three occupants, two ladies and a gentleman, requested Beatrice Wachira to refill the water.

However, after being served, the three pretended to have paid the amount through Mpesa; luckily, the vehicle’s registration details were well-captured.

“This vehicle with registration number KCW 269S came with two ladies and a gentleman, they requested I sell a water bottle and I refill for them totalling KSh 1500, they pretended to have paid through Mpesa till within a second they were nowhere to be found or seen they drove away,” Beatrice said in his complaint.The matter would later be booked under OB 57/6/4/23 at Juja Police Station, informing the officers’ next course of action.

While asking the public to help apprehend the suspects, Beatrice, who usually earns KSh 250 every day, was forced to pay his boss the whole amount, yet she had planned to do the shopping for her parents.
