Many rendered homeless as rainstorm wrecks havoc in Lagos

A rainstorm ripped off the roofs of some buildings at Abesan Estate in the Ipaja area of Lagos State. The rainfall left many people in the town without roofs.

The Abesan Estate is one of the Lagos State Government’s low-cost housing structures established between 1980 and 1984 during the government of Alhaji Lateef Jakande.

Some residents have narrated how the rainfall ripped off their roofs, damaging their properties and rendering them homeless.
