A 30-year-old man, Pinehas Asser has said he and his cousin love each other and want to get married.
He took to a Facebook group on Monday, May 15, 2023, to seek advice on how they can approach their parents for consent.

First, are you a Muslim, Does your culture allow that kind of marriage? if yes, go ahead and good luck.
I had two colleagues that married their cousins (Arabs)one is getting a divorce now and she is devastated. She married her mother’s sister’s son. Their divorce is causing a lot of tension in the family.
I will advise you to marry outside your family line even if the culture allows it.

If you were Fulani , you would get their blessings ,on the lighter note move to Israel , incest is legal .In Nigeria, besides the hausa Fulani if you are distant cousins , more liberal parents will accede Incest was practices in the old testament probably why it’s allowed in israel.as the 99 percent into Judaism and thereforr if you choose the verse( you will find verses for any justification If you search well) .God is same yesterday today and forever and since you pastors use tithing verses from old testamemt , you can also latch into that verse and go ahead . but really stop disturbing us this early morning with cooked up or true love interests , you should have controlled yourselves , before it got to fucking stage . .

Some might consider it incest ,however in Leviticus the Bible never mentioned sexual relationship with your cousin as incest . Just aunts ,uncles ,brothers ,sisters which also includes step sisters/brothers and obviously your parents as incest . Be wise bro ,you also have to check if it’s legal in Nigeria but I see no problem with it . That asides you also have to think of the issues it will bring on your children in the future in relation to your extended family . Goodluck and reason accordingly

Before i say something, i would like to ask you this question. Does your culture and tradition brothers and sisters to marry in your place?. Secondly, does your religion encourage same family marriage?. In the old testament in the Bible, cousins did marry one another. I guess its just a societal perception of current times that makes it inappropriate.
