Nigerians demand Guinness World Record announcement for Hilda Baci’s record-breaking achievement

A number of Nigerians have taken to the official page of Guinness World Records to express their discontent with the delay in officially announcing Hilda Baci as the new record holder. Hilda Baci, a chef, recently surpassed the previous record holder, Lata Tondon, in a cooking marathon that lasted for Eighty-seven hours forty-five minutes.

However, the Guinness World Records has not yet made an official announcement regarding Hilda Baci’s new record. They have stated that they need to review all the evidence thoroughly before confirming the record officially.

Nevertheless, Nigerians appear to be dissatisfied with the response from Guinness World Records and have flooded the organization’s official page with criticism and complaints.

Here are some of the comments that have been posted:

@JAG II ESQ: “I hope you won’t come up with a technicality to disqualify her.”

@Ugly Mofo: “When Hilda finishes cooking and you don’t provide accurate updates on time, we will roast you on Twitter for 96 hours.”

@KVNG KLEV: “I hope your Bureau of Vital Statistics (BVAS) is functioning properly, and I also hope your investigator is not Yakubu from INEC. Don’t mess with our record.”

@Lawrence_okoro: “Dear Guinness Book of World Records, please proceed with your reviews without any bias. Hilda Bassey Effiong is the current world record holder; make it official.”

@Mbah: “Sir, confirm this matter quickly; we are gradually losing our patience.”

@Funmi: “This tweet is extremely insensitive and unprofessional. It reeks of hypocrisy.”
