South Africa are set to finally boast a player in the Premier League as Lyle Foster’s Burnley secured promotion to the top-tier of English Football under head coach Vincent Kompany.
It was a Good Friday for the Clarets who secured a return to the Premier League with a 2-1 win over Michael Carrick’s Middlesbrough side at the Riverside Stadium.

The win sees Kompany’s side secure an unassailable 19-point lead with a game in hand over third-placed Luton Town and an automatic promotion place.
Foster will at the time of writing become the only South Africa to ply his trade in the Premier League next season after a January transfer to Turf Moor from KVC Westerlo.
The Bafana Bafana striker recently opened his account for The Clarets against Wigan with a solitary striker in 11 appearances so far this season.
The 22-year-old also registered eight goals in 21 appearances in all competitions in Belgium before securing a transfer to the Championship.
Meanwhile, South Africa could soon go from zero representatives to having two players gracing the Premier League with Percy Tau rumoured to join Foster’s Burnley side with Kompany a keen admirer.
