South-Africa: Police request assistance in locating missing man

Police have requested the public’s assistance in locating a missing man named David Bernardus Enslin, aged 63, from Merriespruit in the Free State.

MISSING MAN LEFT FOR TOWN AND NEVER RETURNED

According to police spokesperson Captain Stephen Thakeng, the sister of Enslin, who resides with him, reported him missing on 11 May 2023 at the Virginia Police Station. He reportedly left their residence to go to town and never returned.

POLICE SEARCH AT CLOSE FRIENDS IN VAIN

A missing person case was registered for further investigation and the places of his friends were visited, but all in vain.

“Should anyone have information about his whereabouts, Detective Warrant Officer Jaco van Rensburg of Virginia Detective Services can be contacted on cellphone number 082 301 3062 or Crime Stop number 08600 10111. Information can also be shared via the MySAPSApp,” Captain Thakeng appealed.

TZANEEN COMMUNITY AND POLICE FIND MISSING MAN DEAD

Meanwhile, a missing elderly man from Tzaneen, Charles Daniel Tolmay, was unfortunately found no more on Thursday, 20 April.
After an extensive search by the police in partnership with the farming community, the lifeless body of the missing elderly man was found floating in a country lodge dam.

Announcing the loss, Missing Children South Africa said: “It is with great sadness to announce that Charles Daniel Tolmay has been found deceased. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends. Thank you to Letsitele SAPS and everyone that shared his flyer”.
